Today's journal is about a new friend I made.
Mother got a new dog after Sandy ran away/died, but she didn't tell me until today. It was a standard poodle like Wellington, but it had red hair and was much younger. Siobahn said that Mother got it so that I would forgive father for killing Wellington. I think this is true.
I really like the new dog. It is really energetic and smart, smarter than some humans I think, especially the other children at my school. It knows when I'm sad and can shake hands/paws. The only problem is that it likes to jump up and lick me when I'm on the computer or reading. I think this is because it is still young and wants attention.
